A new breakthrough! Viewtrix wins the Silver Award at the 26th China Patent Awards
Recently, the China National Intellectual Property Administration officially announced the winners of the 26th China Patent Awards, with the patent titled'Display Device and Methods for Manufacturing and Driving the Same', filed by Viewtrix, winning the Silver Award at the China Patent Awards.

The China Patent Awards were jointly established by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). They represent the highest-level and most authoritative government awards in China’s patent sector, recognised by the United Nations’ World Intellectual Property Organisation, and combine domestic authoritative endorsement with global industry influence.
Viewtrix's award-winning patent addresses industry pain points such as pixel size limitations, high drive power consumption and difficulties in adapting to new process production lines. It innovatively employs a multi-layer vertically stacked architecture of light-emitting elements, a field-sequence time-division multiplexing drive method and an improved stacked anode-cathode fabrication process. Without altering the core components of existing production lines, it achieves a substantial increase in pixel density and a significant reduction in drive power consumption.
AMOLED display driver chips and Micro OLED display backplane/driver chips developed using this patented technology have already entered large-scale mass production. According to data from Frost & Sullivan, in the AMOLED display driver chip sector, the company ranks fifth globally and first in mainland China in terms of sales volume for 2024. Furthermore, the company is the first in mainland China to have passed brand client certification and is the only AMOLED display driver chip manufacturer to have cumulatively shipped over 10 million units to brand clients. In the Micro OLED display backplane/driver chip sector, the company ranks second globally in terms of 2024 sales volume, with a market share as high as 40.7 per cent. It is also the largest independent supplier in China and one of the world's earliest independent manufacturers to apply this technology to consumer-grade VR/AR devices.
According to the latest publicly available information, Viewtrix has established full-stack R&D capabilities covering algorithms, analogue and mixed-signal design, digital design, chip testing and mass production ramp-up. As at 30 June 2026, R&D personnel accounted for over 70%of the company's workforce, and the company has secured 83 patents, 25 registered trademarks and 23 copyright registrations. In July, Viewtrix was awarded the Guangdong Patent Excellence Award for its patented distributed drive technology for display panels.
